ABOUT ME
No sincere effort is ever wasted. I read that someplace. It might have been a fortune cookie. But it makes sense. So here are some of the areas I've put in sincere effort, that I no longer actively pursue becasue it became clear that my path lead in another direction. I cherish the experiences I had and the friends I made. But yes, my path to this point has meandered a bit.

I was a computer science major / math minor in college.

I interned with the FBI. Twice.

I was a theatrical stage manager for 15 years.

I processed benefits paperwork for a human resources outsourcer.

I went back to college and studied audio production.

I worked for a really big video game company in their video lab and creative digital asset management department.
And here are some things that I still put in sincere effort because my path is still leading this way.

Finding my footing in Los Angeles after almost 20 years in the Bay Area

Developing my voice as an actor and writer. Bringing characters to life. Being a contributing part of the creative process.

Physical exertion as source of pleasure. After a relatively sedentary adulthood, I found out that moving my body could be kind of fun. Here are some ways I like to move it move it

Dancing - Belly Dance and Tango are faves
Aerial - hammock is my go-to apparatus right now, but also work with silks and trapeze as my upper body strength improves
Running -  6 years ago I did my first 5K. Since then I've done 12 5Ks, 4 10Ks, 8 half marathons, and I completed the 2016 LA marathon. I've even walked up the tallest staircase on the west coast (75 floors / US Bank Tower in LA). Twice.

It's been a heck of a ride so far. I'm excited to see what comes next!
